These Bibs can be sewn out and finished off in 3 different ways...
1: (a) Hoop the stabaliser
and material, stitch the first color as a baseline for an applique... (b) Finish the rest of the
embroidery until you get to the satin outline... (c) Now if you would like to cover the back of
the embroidery you can float an extra piece of fabric underneath and repeat color 1. (d) Remove
the hoop and cut away the excess fabric underneath and on top of the stabaliser... (e) Now Embroider
the next color... the satin outline. (f) You now have the option of the neckline in the same color
with a satin stitch or you may elect to cut a 1/4 inch seam onto the neckline marking and finish
the neck edge off with a bias binding, long enough to form a tie.
2: (a) Hoop the stabaliser
and the material and stitch the bib complete... without the satin edge around the neckline...
(b) Now mark and cut out about 3/4 inch from the satin edge or desired size. This will
allow you to have seam allowance to finish off with lace. (c) Cut another piece of fabric the same
for the lining and gather some lace and sew this inbetween the 2 layers, turn around through
the neckline and finish off with bias binding as in instructions 1.
3: (a) Hoop the
stabaliser and material, stitch the first color as a baseline for an applique... (b) Finish the
rest of the embroidery until you get to the satin outline... Float fabric underneath and decide
if you would like the satin neckline or not and complete embroidery.. (c) Cut away the
fabric after reinforcing with fray check... If you want to you may now finish it off with a
fine satin stitch on your sewing machine.
* Please note that applique and the last
2 colors are all the same color no. * This was only done to make the colorbreaks for the different
ways you can use the designs.
